A key part of our mission is bringing the voices and stories of those most impacted by the UK’s very high levels of inequality and poverty to those in power.

This submission to the parliamentary Work and Pensions Committee (as part of their enquiry into the UK’s welfare safety net) is made as part of that work.

In this submission we bring together various pieces of evidence, either directly from The Equality Trust or from people we have worked with who are directly affected by the increasingly frayed and inadequate social safety net that exists in the UK today.
