How Inequality Harms Children

On the evening of 29th November, Professor Kate Pickett gave the second Annual Richard Wilkinson Lecture at UCL in central London. Her topic was Failing The Future: Childhood in an Unequal World. In a wide-ranging and fascinating presentation, Kate presented a vast array of evidence that showed how children are adversely affected by growing up in very unequal societies, such as the UK, compared to growing up in more equal societies.

We are pleased to present the slides from the presentation here for you to download (and share widely – thank you).

We would like to thank everyone who came along to the event and those people who contributed questions during the very interesting Q&A session. We also thank our good friends at the UCL Faculty of Population Health Sciences for hosting yet another successful event for us.
