Dr Wanda Wyporska to leave The Equality Trust

Dr Wanda Wyporska, Executive Director of The Equality Trust is to step down in September after five years in the post. She is leaving to take up the role of CEO of the Society of Genealogists on 1st October. Together with The Equality Trust team and trustees, she has increased the organisation’s profile, staff team and financial sustainability, as well as its range of partnerships and influence, including chairing the newly-formed Structural Inequalities Alliance.

Dr Wanda Wyporska said:

“I’ve had an incredible five years at The Equality Trust and am grateful to the trustees, staff, supporters, and funders, for their passion and commitment to fighting inequality. There is still such a lot to do, but I am proud of all the work that we’ve been able to do with young people, on intersectional issues, supporting grass roots groups and influencing key players across academia, politics and media.”
