The Equality Trust’s Duncan Exley appeared in a THE article on excessively high pay ratios within universities. Duncan said: “People in local authorities have felt some pressure from local taxpayers to be seen to be doing the right thing,”  whereas universities “haven’t seen this as a big PR imperative”.
